Last Weekend

So this past week has been filled with 3 birthdays and fathers day! What a wammy!!Anyone remember that game show? Anyways, we bought Carson this awesome gift, of course with Karl's interest in mind. A remote control quad with rider. And Carson loved it!! Kenzie was so cute. The whole day on saturday she kept singing "happy birthday to you" practing for the real thing I guess. She was so interested in the present opening, and enjoyed singing and eating cake. Since her birthday is in August, she is all ready for whats to come!! Her and Carson enjoyed swimming in the pool, riding Carson's new tricycle, and being chased by the remote control quad.

Kenzie so interested in all the cool new toys

My cute girl playing in the pool

Birthday Boy and the goggles he would not seperate from!! Happy #2!!

Prescott

So, yet another camping trip but this time up to Mingus Mountain just outside of prescott. It was beautiful weather, and we enjoyed just relaxing!! Garrett took me on a fun hike straight up the mountain following the powerlines. It was a beautiful view at the top and a great work out!! We also stopped at the Fair Grounds and showed Kenzie some of the beautiful racing horses. This one was very friendly and kept sticking his out for us to pet him. Others were very skiddish and just backed up. She loved petting his nose and that was the highlight of her trip.

Here is Kenzie learning to play ball with the velcro mitts! It was great, almost a guaranteed catch every time!! The hard part was for her to get the ball back off!!

Kenzie and I stayed up for two days after Garrett and my dad went back to work. We had fun with just the girls!! Here we are... 4 generations!!

Payson

So Kenzie and I headed up toward Clints Wells and met his family up there camping. I have to say that I am pretty proud because I have become a pro at loading the quad in the truck and strapping it down. You must be thinking, LAME, but for me to do it all, all by myself makes me feel proud!

It was a quick trip but we had fun riding the quad, playing, throwing the frisbee, playing the dice game, and of course, eating good food!! Kenzie now thinks that there are dinosaurs in the forest, thanks aunt rat, and so we go on walks that involve looking for dinosaurs and dinosaur bones. And any time a bird crows she yells out "TAW" ( supposed to be CAW). We were on a quad ride and all the sudden I feel kenzie start laying her head on my arm as I drove. Before I knew it she was completely asleep. And she slept until 7:30 the next morning. She did wake up and we got her warm pants on, but then asked to go night night! She was a tired bug!!

All of us girls out riding: Trisha, Misty, me and Kenzie, and Nita

Everybody say cheese!!!

Kenzie exploring a catepillar that was all balled up. If you have noticed that in every picture Kenzie has her ring pop!! She LOVED them and would not put them down!

Boy Scout Hike

So Garrett went on a 3 day hike with the teachers quorom. They started at Woods Canyon and ended up at Chevelon Canyon. The weather was good and they all did a great job!! Besides two of the leaders getting sick for a day, no one got hurt! Pretty amazing for a bunch of 14 year old boys!! Here are some cool pictures:

The group about to leave! Those boys had no idea what was coming:)

Down in the Canyon it was really green and had great fishing at the streams/ponds!!

We think this poor elk was shot and had run away when it got hit, and died down in the canyon. Garrett tried to hike to whole thing as shown in the picture but the head was really smelly and it added a lot of weight. So, he chopped out the rack and it is beautiful!! We are going to have it mounted! Someone must have been really mad when this one got away!! Lucky Garrett!
