Disneyland for Christmas

So this year was the year with my family for Christmas and my parents decided to take everyone to Disneyland. How awesome is that?! My parents Rock what can I say?! So we headed out thursday morning and drove to Cali. The ride went well and as Garretts says ,"thanks to GPS we got there without arguing!" Which if you have ever tried to be the navigator in a new place sometimes that doesn't work out so good. :) So we got there in great time and headed into the park. Most of the time Paige stayed in my wrap and Kenzie was a trooper braving the crowd. The park was very crowed but looked super cool with all the decorations! We enjoyed taking Kenzie on all kinds of rides and even got to go on a few ourselves. We hit up the awesome World of Color show, Aladdin, fireworks, and Fantasmic! Christmas Eve was a pretty good day in the park, but Christmas night was even better thanks to the tons of rain!! The rain started at 8:30 or so and the whole park cleared out!! There was virtually no one there! We bought a few ponchos and an umbrella and stuck it out. For our dinner we got a corn dog, sat under an umbrella in the rain and ate. But then we got together with Kim and HL, and my parents and had a blast. I don't think i have ever seen soo much water on Splash Mountain!  And Space Mountain was awsome!! I even got to do a little shopping and got a fun Jacket! As this was the third day in the park it was a perfect ending. We have decided that the next trip is no kids!! :) It was fun but a lot of work.

Christmas Eve was spent in the park all day followed but some family time late that night. We enjoyed snacks/treats, scriptures, and the story of Christ's birth. The kids got their traditional christmas pajamas, and then got one gift to open. Kenzie opened her truck and horse trailer set. She LOVED it!! Christmas morning was super fun. Kenzie and I got up and saw that Santa had eaten the cookies but had left a bite and she couldn't wait to go see her cousins and what Santa had brought. We had a hard time waking up as we were really tired but we got ourselves together and headed to my moms room. We had fun helping Paige and Kenzie open their gifts and once we were done we all went had breakfast as a family!

Waiting to go into the Park

Spoon anyone??

So the other day when I had gotten Kenzie a bowl of Reeses Puffs for breakfast, I forgot to get her a spoon in my hurried dash to go and help Paige. So i told Kenzie to go and get a spoon out of the drawer. The next time I look over I see this sweet 4 year old using a serving spoon and trying oh so hard to fit it in her mouth to eat. I told her that was too big of a spoon and come to find out, the rest of the spoons were in the dishwasher. So, she was being resourceful and doing what I told her!

Christmas with the Hardy's

So Gary and Nita came down and we had a fun time visiting and Kenzie got to open her gifts. She had so much fun ripping open her presents and then of course she had to open each thing and put them on.

New Family Pictures 2010

Well I cannot say they are new, but we took a road trip up to Flagstaff with Karl and Kasey in October to go take pictures in the Aspens. We have lived down in Mesa for 3 years and every year I say I want to go take pictures when the leaves are changing and we had yet to get up there. So this was our year! I think that they turned out great!

4 month milestones

So we had Paige's Dr. appoinment today! And of course, it included shots but she was a champ. The first stick she looked a bit confused as to what just had happend, followed by the second stick, and a look of "ok what was that again" and then it was all over. She cried for a total of 10 seconds! I was more upset then she was. I hate taking my sweet baby to get shots. I was that way with Kenzie too. I am a wus what can I say?! :) Here are her stats for her 4 month appointment:

Height: 26 1/4"- 95% percentile
Weight: 15 lb. 7 oz.- 75% percentile

I am also happy to report that Paige is officially rolling over!! Garrett worked with her the last two days and this morning, she did it all by herself! Way to go Paige! You are also a very happy baby. You only cry when you are tired or hungry. You light up and get bashful and smily when your Daddy talks to you. You love when he plays with you. You still sleep best on your tummy and hate being cradled when you are super tired. You love grabbing your feet and always find a way to stick your fingers in your mouth. Your gummy smile makes my heart melt.  I love you sweet girl!

Phoenix Zoo

The girls and I met my sister Kristin and her kids at the zoo. We had a great time looking at all the animals, riding the carousel, petting the sting rays, riding the train, and enjoying the beautiful weather. We got there at 9am and left 4 hours later. That was the longest time we have ever spent at the zoo. And of course afterwards we enjoyed a scrumptious lunch at In-N-Out. Kenzie even took money up to the register, by herself, and ordered a chocolate shake. After she gave the man her money she turned and gave me a shooter, and a thumbs up complete with a smile. Soo cute.

Having fun on the carousel!

Decorating the Tree

We enjoyed decorating the tree in our new house!! Our first christmas not living in an apartment. It has been so fun to decorate the house and put up christmas lights on our own house. Garrett even made the tree look more like a pine tree by taking pinecones off of the tree out front. And it looks great. Kenzie put all the ornaments up around the same spot so its fun to see how the tree looks with a large amount of ornaments at the bottom. Too cute!

Decorating the tree-mostly all on the bottom!

Kenzie's Dance Recital

Kenzie had her last dance class through the parks and rec program and did an pretty good job! She has had a rough time from the get go but has made some strides. She is so cute! Here she is with her class:

We love you Kenzie!

Cabin Trips to Parks

Garretts friends from ASU invited us up to their family cabin for the weekend. We were so excited to go and after a long day of getting things packed we finally made it up there at 11 at night. We enjoyed the great big fires, riding quads, good food, exploring Williams Train Depot, and Bearizona. Kenzie loved the tire swing in the front yard and I think Garrett wants to make her one now.

This picture took the help of Miranda to make Kenzie give us a smile!

We enjoyed the cold weather, the little bit of snow that was still on the ground, and playing fun games at night!

Halloween Festivites

So we had a great time carving pumpkins in anticipation for halloween. We decided to carve Mickey Mouse and a silly face for Kenzie. Trisha carved a cute Minnie Mouse and of course Garrett used his power tools to make things go a bit faster and smoother!

Then we had a great time at the Ward Fall Festival. This year it was super awesome and we enjoyed handing out popcorn to a million kids- ok not really, we couldn't keep up and wont do that again but had fun none the less. Enjoy our awesome costumes:
