Updated Family Pictures

So, there is no doubt that my family will be changing here in 24 days, but, I really wanted to get pictures taken of our family the way it has been the last 4 years. It is has just been us three, so I wanted to get some cute pictures and we have never really made time to go. So on Sunday we woke up from a nap, decided that is was time, got dressed and grabbed the camera. I think they turned out super cute! p.S. I love having a remote to my camera, it makes taking your own picts sooo much easier. So here are some of my favorites:

Kenzies New Do

So every mom who has a daughter has had the experience of getting ready for the day and everytime it comes to combing the hair, it is a crisis!! I get so tired of fighting over a hair do, so yesterday i got my scissors and yup... snip, snip!! The detangle process is now shorter as well as the hair length and amount of time needed! Here is my cutie and her new do...

Fathers Day Weekend

So this was a great weekend that was full of fun. Friday was my nephews 3rd Birthday party which was a total blast, saturday was Toy Story 3 and swimming, and sunday was celebrating such a special daddy, WE LOVE YOU GARRETT, and then church followed by a quick road trip up to Payson to go hike Tonto National Bridge. We have driven by this park a million times and never stopped and it was so worth it!! The hike was pretty easy, considering an 8 month baby belly rock hopping, and Kenzie was such a little trooper. She was fearless and ready to hike and throw rocks in the water. Next time we will hike down on the other side so we can enjoy getting wet from the falls! Here are some fun pictures from our hike down to the bridge.

Family Picture...Awww

the rocks behind us used to have flowing water down/through them as they we very porous and water damage was very visible but totally cool

Nothing New

Kenzie and I are just hanging out most days, trying to stay busy. I am feeling much larger now and way less motivated to do much of anything. The countdown is on!! The last 2 doctor appointments I have measured 1.5 weeks larger. Maybe she will let me go early?? I did get some of the new outfits washed and I cannot believe how small the clothes shrink. Good thing I did not buy too many new outfits! Kenzie is excited for her little sister to come. She comes up to me and shakes my belly and says " I am shaking her cage" and also throws out " look at this big belly" followed by a kiss. She informs me that she is going to " help rock the baby, give her a binkie, and feed her" A little mommy in the making!

Funny story, Kenzie has been on this cigarette kick lately. No, she has picked up the habit but insists on spotting every cigarette butt and saying, "we don't like cigarettes. Those are yucky." Even a casual conversation will usually turn into her answering my question and then adding, "...but we dont like cigarettes. " Same thing with "Toffee" as she calls coffee. And when she is in a real mood, she will say that both coffee and cigarettes are yummy. What a terd!

Ta Ta for now. i have a dr. appointment tomorrow so we will see how it all goes!

Congrats...

To Garretts little sister for graduating from high School!! We drove up on Wednesday to witness the blessed day when Trisha could peace out high school. It was a long day as we drove up and back in the same day, but totally worth it! Now, we look forward to having Trisha live with us for some time in the fall while she attends MCC. We love you Trisha!
Notice the expanding belly!! I have 8 weeks to go!

My Workin' Man

So, Garrett landed a great internship for the summer that allowed us to stay in Arizona, as well as great pay. He is working crazy hours but in hope to have a job after the summer and upon graduating from ASU! Way to go love!! Here is a picture from his first day at Holder Construction.

Sea World

So I got the idea in my head to take a vacation before Garrett started his internship. I pretty much had it all planned out and it did not take too much convincing to get Garrett to agree! so, we loaded up and headed out to San Deigo on thursday. We really enjoyed the weather, the beach, and the highlight was Sea World. Kenzie has such a great time seeing all the animals. She got to feed the Sea Lions, pet and feed the Sting Rays (this was a favorite for her!!), and loved seeing Shamu jump out of the water and splash everyone. Garrett took her on the Rapids Ride which kinda freaked her out since they were the only 2 in the raft and it kept turning them backwards. But she survived! I am sooo glad we went now, cause since I am 29 weeks i am feeling large and got pretty tuckered out walking around all day. Here are some pictures of our trip.

kenzie in front of the Polar Bears

This cave was just a walk through on the way to see the whales and polar bears, and it had a recored bear growling which Kenzie thought was real, so she screamed and wanted nothing to do with the cave. The next day she told us she wanted to go to the cave and when we got there she screamed and ran off, not going in at all. Crazy girl :)

Petting the Sting Rays

On the Rapids Ride. she did not enjoy getting wet either!!

Lovin the sand and cool weather at La Jolla Cove. Next time we are bringing our snorkel gear as there were all kinds of cool fish to see!!

Our front row Soak zone seats!! Totally worth getting wet for. Garrett got more wet than I as he was protecting our little Kenzie from getting wet and having a melt down. in fact, she started to whine and say she was all wet and then realized she was not that wet at all!

We also checked out Downtown San Diego and saw the Mormon battalion Memorial. It was a neat tour and then we got to pan for gold at the end.

Asu and Nau semester is over!!

It has been a very busy semester! i am proud to say that my husband, the hard worker that he is, completed his semester with straight A's!! what a stud! And I finished with 2 A's and 1 B! Not to shabby!!

Ok then..

Here is the short synopsis of what has happened:
1. found out we are having another girl- names still being discussed
2. Went the world wild life zoo out in Glendale- had a blast!
3. Still waiting to hear on our offer for the house we want- super annoying it is taking sooo long
4. Spring break was uneventful as Garrett's school and my school had different weeks off- LAME
5. Enjoyed some time seeing my sister and her kids on their trip from Utah
6. Had a great time at Emmetts blessing and Easter festivities
7. Kenzie had her first "official" haircut by an acutal stylist, not her mother. I told Miranda a trim and kenzie kept saying "keep tutting, I want it short". not this time love!
8. School seems to be going crazy! We are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, for this semster anyways!

The Bee

Today was Kenzie's first encounter with a Bee and needless to say, the bee won. She was going down the slide and started crying saying something had bit her, and sure enough there was a stinger in her little hand. :( Garrett pulled out the stinger and that is when she really lost it. She then said the following " Naughty bee, I want to get that bee and shoot it!" What, did my daughter really say that? I guess she means business when it comes to getting a bee sting. Bees watch out. The next one is going to get it!

what the heck...

Has it really been over a month since I have posted!? YIKES!! I know how disappointing that is to click on a link and see that yet again, there is nothing new!! So sorry!! Well, life has been good. I will have to dig out all the fun pictures from christmas!! Kenzie got to dress up in her cousins gift (princess clothes) and they had a blast. Complete with shoes and clip on earrings!! They were in heaven! Kenzie also got to go on a pony ride before the break was up! Talk about fun... she got her own little pony, whos name was Elvis, sit in her own little saddle, and even hold the reigns on her own. She was soooo excited. She got to ride for about an hour and of course when we were down, is was complete devistation that we dare take her away from Elvis. So, cried big ol tears and when we talk about horses she says that she wants to go and see Elvis. So cute!!

Cute princess all decked out!
One Happy Cowgirl!!!

She had so much fun and looked so cute!

Once school got back in full swing it was nothing too exciting! Garrett and I took a little getaway to Flagstaff for my birthday and that was lots of fun. You forget how easy life was before you had little ones to worry about! No need to stress about schedules, just got and have fun! And fun we did!!

And now, our fun adventure is house hunting!! That's right, its about time we got into a house and with as great as things are in the house market, now is the time!!! So, we are online looking, driving and looking, and being patient for the perfect one!! So, soon enough we will say PEACE OUT to apartment living, and hello to being home-owners! Woo woo

The Past Month

Ooops, I have been majorly slacking!! Lots of fun times with the family and of course Thanksgiving was the most recent event. First though, I want to talk about my Kenzie girl. She is getting so big. Here are some of the things that she has said/done this past month:

1. Achieved potty training!!
2. Said her first prayer on her own: "dear heanly fader, thankful for this day, bless it will snow, and my birday is coming up, and bless we can go play in the snow, in the name of jesus christ, amen. so cute!!
3. Has decided now that everyday is dress day
4. After playing rough, strokes your face and says: "its ok, its ok, i'm not gonna hurt 'cha" Keep in mind she has already jacked you up!!
5. calls all her girl friends her "sister" and boys her "broder"
6. I love it when we pass the craft store Hobby Lobby cause all I hear is "hobby hobby" from Kenzie
7. Goes into my jewelry box and wants to wear all my rings and necklaces
8. My favorite word for her to say is gorgous cause she says "dorgous"
9. will still come crawl in bed with me and garrett in the morning and go back to bed
10. and lastly, every time she throws her arms around my neck and says "I wuv you" I just melt!!

Thanksgiving was fun!! WE enjoyed talking, eating, bowling, and being together with everyone there. It isn't too often that your entire family is all together!! I am trying to savor the moments cause I feel as though they will become less frequent as we all move and have big families. Here are a fewbut have more later...

Tea Party

Kenzie has been asking to have a tea party since we rented the movie "Alice in Wonderland". So, since we were at my mom's house for a day or so, we asked my grandma (G-Gma to Kenzie), to be the hostess of a tea party for Kenzie!! She was sooo exicted!! She loved having a small tea cup and juice. She dug into the strawberries and cute peanut butter sandwiches GGma made. Here are some of the cute pictures:

On the way to GGma's house with yummy cake

Helping Kenzie choose her snacks

Cheers ;)

One satisfied girl!!

Thank you Grandma, you are the best and we love you!!

Cousins

So here are some fun pictures of Kenzie getting to spend some time with her cousin Evelynne that is visiting from Utah!! They were really cute. Eve followed Kenzie everywhere and I would hear Kenzie calling her name so she would go where kenzie wanted her to. When I told her to give her a love goodbye she came up behind Eve and wrapped her arms around her neck and pulled her back for a giant hug! Tough love :)

Such Cute Girls!!

Kenzies Photo Shoot

So we decided that we needed some new pictures of Kenzie, so she and I did a fun photo shoot! We had a good time and cruised around. I am going to go and take more at the Art Center in Mesa, so I will post those when we get those done. But here are some of my favorites of Kenzie!!
