Life has seemed to go by in a blink of an eye. Here we are in August 2020. We have added two sweet boys to our family, attended dental school and graduated, moved states, and now are living life as a family of 6 in Ridgefield, Washington since I last posted. Currently Garrett works in Kelso at Highlander Dental where he is loving the Dentist life. He has great support staff and takes great care of his patients. I am home with our kids (COVID-19 ended school in March and went to distance learning, and our state is still in only phase 2 of re-opening) where we are soaking up the nice weather. Mackenzie will be 14 in five days. Paige just turned 10 last month while on vacation to Alabama, Ethan is 4, and Cody is 2. Life is full of goodness and blessings even when the world around us a everything but normal.
Ethan lately has become completely, 100%, all about DAD. He looks to him in everything he does. Examples of this include:
1. Wrapping a towel around his waist only because that's how dad wears his towel.
2. While riding his power wheels he will drive right next to Garrett and look over at him to make sure he is doing the same thing and is keeping up, and then gives a big thumbs up.
3.wanting to help prepare and pass the sacrament due to church being at home with COVID
4. wearing a tie like dad for church
5. trying to wave at a neighbor while riding bikes, but fell over. He said he was trying to wave just like Dad
6. After riding into the garage door and coming to me in tears, I asked what happened..." I was trying to ride my bike with one hand like Dad does"
7. Sitting still through the prayer and telling us about each time he remained reverent.
8. In the shower this morning I hear Ethan say, "whats garmets?" Garrett responded with, "they are my underware". Ethan said,"then I wear garmets too!"
