Paige Ruth Hardy

So sorry this post has taken so long but our sweet little girl has been too much fun!! I went into the hospital at 11am on sat. July 24th for my c-section and got all preped and ready. I of course hate getting the IV started but once it was in I was good to go. We just sat and waited for our time to go into surgery and actually got bumped back due to an emercency c-section. As I was laying there waiting I started to get really nervous and did not want to go into surgery. But luckily, after about 10 minutes of all that, the nurses came in to get me and we walked into the surgery room. I received my spinal and of course 2 seconds later I could not feel my feet and then my butt started to get numb. From the time of the spinal to the time she came out was only about 10 minutes. As I laid there feeling the pressure and pulling I heard them say we had a big baby. Garrett said she looked little and the Dr. argued that she was probably a good 9 pounds. They brought her around for me to see before they weighed her and she looked cheesy and chunky!! Very different from little Kenzie, but soooo cute!! Besides the weight difference, I thought I had given birth to another little Mackenzie. They looked identical. She arrived at 2:16pm and weighed in at 8 lbs. 2 oz and 21 1/4" long. Garrett went with her to get cleaned up as I was getting stitched up. As I laid there I could see the reflection in the lights of my stomach split open and them stitching me up, yup, gross!! Once I was able to go to my room, my parents brought Kenzie in to see her new sister!! She thought she was cute and got to hold her with daddy's help! All of my siblings came to see me that day which was fun to have everyone come by!! I spent 3 days in the hospital and it all went great!!

Here we go:

Our family of 3 about to become 4! This was on our way out to the hospital!

Our princess is here! Chunky and cheesy!

Daddy consoling Paige while i was getting stiched up. i am jealous he gets to hold her first!

Kenzie holding her sister for the first time!

Our sweet little Paige! They always look so peaceful when they sleep!

your story is comforting. because the idea of a c-section frightens me. but you make it sound easy. Congrats on Baby Paige!
